Staff Welcome: Heather Young

We are SUPER excited to welcome Heather Young to the GOTR staff team in the new role of Program Director!

Learn more about Heather in her own words:

"My name is Heather Young, I have my B.A. in Elementary Education from The University of
Iowa. Go Hawks! I have many years of experience as a Teacher in both the public and private sectors. I also have experience in the nonprofit sector through Junior Achievement and Iowa State University Extension.

I am a former Girls on the Run Coach. I am a firm believer in the curriculum and in the
opportunity to create an environment of empowerment. I am looking forward to being involved in GOTR as the Program Director and helping girls realize their power and confidence all the while continuing to grow myself."

Heather's deep commitment to the development and well-being of kiddos is so clear and we are so excited for how her expertise will help us to grow in the support we are able to offer our coaches and current teams, deepen our relationships with school districts and expand our reach through new partnerships.
