At Girls on the Run, we envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential. While there have been great strides in working toward equality, limiting messages and biases still hold many girls and women back. Through words and actions—intentionally and unintentionally—society tells girls how they should act and who they should be. It’s time to change the narrative. This March, in honor of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, Girls on the Run is asking supporters to join us in changing how we talk to girls by sharing the messages they want girls to hear using #LetsTellHer on social media.
We know girls are capable of remarkable things - they’ve been creating, experimenting, problem solving and inspiring others since day one - but they haven’t always had the support and resources they deserve. It’s time for a change, and you can be a part of it.
